Relocalizing our food system requires us to think long term. That and seeing how much kids love our full moon garden parties was motivation enough for us to create a JR Gardening Club for ages 6-12 known as The Green Thumb Warriors.

We kicked it off at Leo’s - letting kids and parents know what to expect, signing waivers, and going over logistics.

Then, local elder Rose Denogean lead us on a neighborhood foregoing walk on our way to the garden.

Then we got to work sifting soil and finding worms!

Per the parent’s request, we’ll meet every other week starting on the first Friday of September.
